Background
Andrew's path to financial planning is anything but conventional. He studied Economics and music at Northwestern and Indiana Universities, and spent years conducting orchestras and opera companies across the United States and beyond. After a distinguished career on the podium, he made a deliberate decision — to build a career that offered more flexibility, more direct impact on people's lives, and more time with his family.
The discipline of orchestral conducting, it turns out, is excellent preparation for financial planning. A conductor's role is to take the varying elements of an ensemble — rhythm, pitch, tone, dynamics, individual voices — and guide them into a unified, purposeful whole. Financial planning works the same way: there are many moving parts, many competing priorities, and many voices with different opinions. The advisor's job is to bring them into coherence.
"A conductor must guide the varying elements of rhythm, pitch, tone, and instruments into a cohesive unit. Coordinating a comprehensive wealth plan often feels like guiding the 'financial orchestra' of a client's life."
Andrew is Music Director and Conductor of the Brookline Symphony Orchestra and continues to perform as a pianist throughout Greater Boston. Classical music remains a deep part of his life — and a reminder that the best results come from careful preparation, patient collaboration, and genuine commitment to the work.
When he is not working with clients or on the podium, Andrew spends time with his wife and son. The family enjoys the outdoors, reading voraciously, and attending swim meets.
